Get started today by emailing us at info@papadraftsman.com with your project address, timeline, and renovation/building details. We can't wait to begin this exciting journey with you!

3. The Go-ahead

If you decide to proceed with the project, we require a 50% deposit of the quoted price to initiate the preliminary drawings. To make the process seamless, we'll send an invoice via email, which can be conveniently paid by credit card or e-transfer.

5. Final Approval

Once all technical aspects are complete, we prepare for the final phase: full working drawings. At this stage, the remaining balance is due. Working drawings will commence once payment is received, and final plans will be released upon completion.

2. Quote Provided

At Papa Draftsman, we provide detailed quotes for our drafting service and a complimentary 1-hour consultation, either in person or via Google Meets, fostering further collaboration.

4. Design Stage

In this phase, we focus on approval drawings and open communication to achieve the ideal balance of function and appearance in your design. Collaborating closely, we seize the best chances to make any needed adjustments, ensuring the end result surpasses your expectations.

6. Blue Prints Provided

At Papa Draftsman, our completed plans are issued in a convenient full-size format through a printable PDF file, readily available for local printing (Staples, etc.). Additionally, the PDF can be electronically submitted to your municipality for permits, streamlining the process for you. We aim to make the entire journey from planning to execution as seamless and efficient as possible.

Step-by-Step: From Quote to Permit

We begin every project with a one-hour consultation (in person or virtual) to discuss your vision, budget, and timeline. After the consultation, we follow up with a detailed quote outlining the full scope of the work. If the client decides to move forward, a 50% deposit is required to begin the design stage. You’ll always have input and visibility, every step of the way.

Collaborative Design Tailored to You

We don’t just draw — we collaborate. Our goal is to make sure your ideas are heard and reflected in your plans. Whether it’s making the most of your lot, adjusting layouts, or adding design touches, we stay flexible throughout the design-drafting stage.

Permit-Ready Plans, Delivered Digitally

Once the design is approved, we finalize the technical aspects of your working drawings to make them permit-ready. At this stage, the final 50% of the quoted cost is due, and you will receive a final invoice. Once payment is received, you’ll receive a full-size PDF that can be printed locally and submitted by you to your municipality — this step is required to obtain your building permit. Having a clear, professional blueprint is essential for permitting and also makes it easier to obtain accurate quotes from builders, streamlining the construction process.
